Adjustable pedal not adjusting

Adjustable pedal not adjusting
The adjustable brake pedal on my excursion works fine, but the throttle doesn't and never did adjust. It just doesn't move at all. Why? Just a bad electric motor on the adjuster? Just curious if there is something common that fails before I delve into trouble shooting it more.

Well the funny part is that it's never worked. My wife and I just bitches for 5 years about how stupid Ford was to only make the brake pedal adjustable!
My brake has kind of started groaning from the pedal/Mc area in stop and go traffic. Works fine, just noisy. Was looking to see if something needed lubricated and found the motor, looked at accelerator and find an identical one, and was like, oh, snap.. Lol

Well wife needed to drive truck, the cables all looked well connected and I couldn't figure it out so I laid on my back to see up in there.
In case anyone didn't know, the way the power pedals work is there is a gearbox with a screw drive on the pedals and the motors themselves are located way up inside the dashboard, then they have a flexible cable (think old Ford speedometer cable) that the motor spins a shaft inside of which turns the screw on the pedals to adjust them in and out. The cable clips onto the motor and the pedal with a plastic clip. Anyway the top clip had slipped off, so I snapped it back on and voila. My power pedals work perfectly again.
I was pretty surprised by such an elaborate arrangement...
