Catastrophic engine failure in western TN

I'm definitely gonna need a new oil pan.

And another ride home...

Collecting my thoughts while I look at a map and decide what to do. We are halfway between Nashville and Memphis. 330ish miles from home. AAA will tow it 200 miles and I can probably figure out how to get it home from there.

Really sorry to see this Jason Evidently winning that sled pull trophy took its toll on the ol' girl.

Let us know if there is anything we can help you out with.

It's kinda hard to blame that exclusively. That engine has also made several dozen trips down the drag strip and been flogged hard dragging my campers around the country for over 100k miles!!

No regrets, just a different adventure today than I had planned.

And thanks for RRE and the trophy!!!!

Spare motor in the bed and a box of tools.....I'm sure you could figure something out. Maybe a local shop will rent you the space. You need what.....4 hours?

And good job on not half a**ing a break down, if your gonna do it it might as well be all in.

If all else fails sell the veggie oil for safe passage through the sticks. You do nose your in the land wear the Men are Men and the Sheep are scared!

Glad you have your ride worked out. Now just protect the engine til the Rollback arrives. Hope you told AAA you have dual engine truck. LOL

Wonder what Swamps would charge for a quick R&R? Then again, I wonder what the charge is to tow that last 130 miles?

Do the sheep look better than the old lady...lmao

Good Luck Jason, I'm sure someone in TN has a place for you to drop it in. Why a spare engine?

OH NO Jason...

Is there anything I can do? I was hoping to catch up to you on our trip West in a few hours...

I'm a good 6 hours from Memphis, I know you will figure something out, but I will miss seeing you again in those western mountains.

Yeah Alan, I'm bummed about not getting to see you and Kara and everybody else. Was really looking fw to spending time in CO - I had a couple more weeks up near Aspen doing veggie installs after the gtg.

Glad you all made it home safe and sound. I am free late Friday probably and all of Saturday if you need a hand holler.
Sounds like you need to get your butt back out west for Veggie stuff.
Later Tater
