99 Super Duty NO brake lights or cruise

I have a 1999 Super Duty 5.4l Manual transmission 4x4 105,000 miles
the cruise control stopped working a month ago, I didn't think much of it because I frankly don't use cruise as this vehicle is usually used to tow and I don't run cruise towing.
Long story short I went to tow my camp trailer and noticed my brake controller was not actuating the trailer brakes when I braked, the controller is showing connected and when I manually actuate the controller its working, so I knew I had a brake light issue, I checked the brakes and sure enough I have no functioning brake lights.
I bought a Motorcraft OEM brake pedal switch and replaced it to no avail,I have also checked the applicable fuses they are fine.
I have a master cylinder cruise control switch to change but have my doubts this is the issue since the brake lights and cruise are non functional. someone steer me straight as to what to check thank you in advance......

ok i changed the master cylinder cruise switch to a new OEM one still no brake lights, if I turn the emergency flashers on the bulbs light so I know the bulbs are good, I checked fords crappy cruise control recall fuse. The fuse is good as well as i took that out and run it no fusable link still nothing (either way). I ran the cruise control diagnostic and get the 2 flashes at the end of it (2 flashes - BPP defective, circuit is defective, brake applied, CPP switch or jumper (if equipped))

so gurus I implore you where do I go next ??? any underhood fuses or what fuses should I check on the under dash fuse box, i've already checked he listed ones under the dash and even changed the fuses to new ones regardless of what they looked like where do I start metering where do i look for unplugged connectors etc

Check fuses F13 & F15 under the dash.

Check the BPP switch.

Check the wiring that goes to the BPP switch.

It's probably time to get out a multimeter and actually troubleshoot the circuit instead of just hanging new parts and hoping for the best.
