Heater/air conditioner trouble

2000 F150 4x4 w/4.6

With the selector on floor/panel the direction of the air will change to defrost while under load and go back to floor/panel when on thelevel or at idle.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

yes, you have a vacuum leak.......... see above.
