I'm reading the instructions to add a replacement tune to my DP-Tuner F6. As I read through the instructions, the USB driver portion references plugging in a cable, but I can't seem to find a cable from the original package.

I did get a cable that plugged into the chip and mounted under the dash, but nothing that plugs from the under-dash mount to the computer.

I'm worried I'll mess something up and have to pull the chip out, which I don't want to do.

Does anyone have experience with this? I'm in the process of configuring the USB communications before opening the DP-Tuner utility.

Well scratch that. No help needed. Once you plug in a USB cable to the under dash mounted female, and install the driver, all works as the instructions say.

You should have gotten 2 cables with your chip, 1 that goes to the Tune switch, and the other is your usb jack that you mount to the dash. It's so you can change your tunes thru E-mail.

 

Thanks, I didn't get the cable that goes from the computer to the chip port, but I used one from my printer and was able to update the tune that was sent to me.
