Shorter Antena For 2015 Super Duty

Does anyone have any suggestions for a shorter antenna for my super duty? I don't want to degrade the reception quality I just want to clear the garage door without having to pull it back with a bunge cord every time I enter or exit the garage.
Thanks in advance.

Cut your antenna down. You can pop the ball off the end, cut it down a bit and then glue the ball back on.

I just allow mine to hit, bend and pop back into position. I had given some thought as to clipping it down a few inches, but then I realized that leaving it the current height I will know that if it hits while pulling into a parking garage the truck will not fit due to height of the cab and headache rack.

I want to cut mine down too, BUT like jonrjen says, if it hits pulling into a garage then I know that I am really close to taking out my clearance lights.

As long as you go slow you won't take out your windshield either.

In Roberts case, it might drive me crazy as an everyday thing, so I might cut it down to just clear my own garage. Also, if you want, you can keep the stock height antenna as most auto parts stores sell replacements. That way if for some reason is does degrade your reception too much you can always put the stock one back on.

Where I live in Florida reception for the most part isn't an issue, where I live in Alaska, it is a HUGE issue and a small loss of signal is the difference between being able to listen to the radio or not.

I picked up a New short black one at a local auto parts store for less than $12.

I did the same. Works well in my neck-of-the-woods

You're looking at this all wrong. Instead of a shorter antennae, get a bigger garage. Wishful thinking huh. You should be able to try a short one and see how the reception is and if you don't like it put the longer one back on.

I had a really nice short one i bought online. It lasted a couple of months. Some a hole needed it more than I did i guess. I think I'm going to cut mine down. Good idea.
