Need urgent help with tps
I have a 1994 f150 5.0 302 and I just replaced the throttle position sensor but now I start it and it runs for about 3 seconds then the rpms go so low that it dies. Is there any way I can adjust it? Should I also test the voltage first? And before I go doing anything, do I need to recalibrate the computer or something because i ve only started 2 times and let it try to idle. Any help would be great. I also replaced the IAC valve a while back and I didn't have any trouble with that
Its my daily driver and I have work on Monday...

It's possible that the connector isn't making good contact. Have you tried unplugging and re-plugging the connector?
There really isn't much adjustment that can be made on the TPS. You can check its operation by measuring the resistance between two of the terminals. Use an analog ohm meter to see if it changes smoothly. Then plug it into the harness and try to measure the voltage between ground and one of its terminals; it should be 5v. I usually stick a paper clip through the hole in the gasket on the backside of the connector where the wires come through to make the connection to the pins for the volt meter. If you see the 5v, it at least shows that the TPS is making a connection to the harness.
