At least the mechanicals are in no danger. As long as they are kept running, the rest will take care of itself.

You must not be anywhere near the salt belt.

Nothing is safe for long in the rust belt. I will never move back to it. However there isn't anything body wise on the Excursion that would give anyone with fab skills too much trouble.

We should start a list of parts that are known to be obsolete and make a note if we stumble across an Excursion in a junk yard.

Things I know are obsolete from my 2005 EX Eddie Bauer 6.0

1. Multi function Black Steering wheel
2. All Leather seats covers in the Eddie Bauer Black and Tan
3. Black Dash Bezel
4. Center Console
5. Paintable 05 grill

Can anyone else add to the list of known obsolete parts? It would probably be handy as a sticky and where you found parts, or parts that the Ex share with an E series van or the superduty.

Yes, its my first post. I normally hang out of the diesel boards. But this board is hands down the best one I've seen for Excursions.

I know we have the free items stuff above but something for the hard to find stuff would be handy too. Just a thought

The rubber hose section (for the rear window washer) that transitions from the headliner to the rear hatch near the hinge.
And apparently most of the hardware for the rear wiper mechanism...

Don't know how many are actually still out there or even how many were sold, but don't forget that the Excursion was available with a blue! interior for the first year, maybe even the second. It was called dark denim blue. Can't imagine there being many parts for that remaining.

If you search for an '05 EX grille on Tousely Ford parts (Autonation White Bear Lake now) it does show the painted grilles as not available, however if you search for an '06 F-250 painted grille it shows available parts. Should be the same grille.

The dash bezel in black is certainly bad news for me. The Texas sun has taken a toll on my truck this summer and its causing this bezel to self destruct. The rest of my interior is in garage kept condition, but this bezel is coming apart. Every other time I drive it I find a new acorn but from behind the dash where it broke off and now the drivers HVAC vent is flopping around. Might end up with a truck bezel just to get it back to A1 condition.

What's the difference between the truck bezel and the Excursion bezel, aside from the badge to the right of the stereo?

I don't need a badge to remind me that I'm driving an Excursion.
All I have to do is look in the rearview and see the vast amounts of space.

All 5 rear doors are not available anymore also I believe.

With this Hennessy suv comming does that mean the parts will become available again or pretty much just all one off knock offs.

Nothing is obsolete with a 3D printer.

That's what I need also. Had a blow out and tore off passenger rear.
