Most states don't have inspections like they do in the northeast. Moved to MN with work just last year, and not having to get a NH state inspection every year is like a breath of fresh air.

I guess living in MN has some advantages. I see no need for inspections. If I have a blinker or headlight out I can figure it out on my own without having to pay over 100 bucks to get my truck inspected. Even with the inspections I still see guys on the road with bad ball joints and rusted out crap boxes driving around.

2016F350in NSB-do you have a close up picture of where you welded the 45 at the hanger that was behind the oem muffler?
And to 2016F350 or any of you guys that have deleted the muffler, could somebody get a video or audio clip of how this mod sounds. I'm thinking about doing it but I want to know what to expect before I cut up my stock exhaust.

Deerfield411,
Check out "You Tube" Muffler Delete 6.2L. If remember right they have a F-350 2014 which is the same truck as yours (only change is interior options and tailgate design).
As for the hanger, I did not need to add one on the "S" like shape pipe; you have a hanger between the 2-resonators and another hanger on tail pipe section.
Other option to hear what it sounds like before cutting up: unbolt the muffler after the second resonator, unhook the muffler hanger and the tail pipe hanger, slide the muffler and attached tail pipe off (use rubber mallet). Start the truck. Remember if starting cold or first start of the day it will be a slight louder, wait 30 seconds to a minute till idle drops down, then Play with the gas pedal a little bit; it's smooth, once you put the pipe and tail pipe on even smoother

Hello, I have a 2012 f350 lariat, it's the Crew cab short bed with the 6.2l. everyone likes a good rumble! I wasn't sure what to get, at the moment I have a stainless 4" mbrp cat back system.. it sounds ok but not great. Can anyone tell me what the best system is out there . The mbrp says cat back how ever there is one resonator still on the truck. I really like the sound of a roush system on the 6.2 raptor. Is there a system that I can come close to that sound? Even Tho the raptor has a little more pep.. they very similar engines. The mbrp is not worth the 500 bucks at all when compared to stock sound.

Same questions here. I added mbrp muffler to my 6.2 which only made it slightly louder. Turns out the baffles were blown and he removed it. While waiting for the replacement from mbrp I left it “straight piped” which has ended up being how it’s been for the last 6 months or so. I just got off the phone with Flowmaster asking how I can make it louder. If it is “straight piped” and not loud enough, how can adding one of their mufflers make it any louder? His reply was that my truck was not actually straight pipe. The shop only removed one muffler, the one back by the bed, he said there was another muffler closer to the cat as well as a resonator. I have not been near the truck since getting off the phone with him to check, but has anyone heard of this? Have any of you guys who have “straight piped” removed both mufflers and the resonator? I was thinking of removing the second muffler and resonator, and putting back on the MBRP muffler just to get a little cleaner sound, if not leaving it off altogether. I am just blown away that my “straight piped “truck is not that much louder than a factory one would be
