The F150 is pretty stable with the heavy loads. It kind of depends on how often & how far you will be towing. Now that I have a F250 I do see that it is better with a heavy load however the F150 never left me wanting a bigger truck. I rarely tow over 7K so that could be part of it.

After looking the F250 over and noticing it is still made like a truck should be, I was sold. Getting my F250 ordered soon.
Been an F150 fan for the past 20 years but Ford really screwed up on the 2015. The aluminum body is a great idea, but the rest of the truck is slop.
Same shoes. I wanted a 2015 F150 Platinum. I ended up with an F250 Platinum for considerably less money. I'm sure a big part of it has to do with the F150 is a new release that is selling at a premium while the F250 is end of cycle and selling at a discount. The F250 has less features such as 360 view camera and power open/lock tailgate and the F150 cab has a nicer back seat. I'm having fun with the F250, just rolled 9K in the 14 weeks I've owned it. It is nice not to need the equalizing hitch when towing my car around.

i do not get where you think the f150 is slop? these trucks are not cheap made which i do not get where you get that idea as well. i remember how trucks used to be where they had no power steering or brakes or air conditioner! and if you got 200hp that was a beast.
plus i remember having to adjust points and all the stuff that went with keeping a engine running good.
if you think think the f150 is slop then go back to the good old days and drive one of those trucks for a year and you would change your mind.
the aluminum body is a new direction which works, i mean look at aircraft and military applications, Ford tested this application for a long time in brutal conditions and it worked. REMOVED

2015 F150 cons I have seen: Most of the ditch molding on drivers roof looks like a drunk shot the sealer. Top of cowl panel doesn't seat right and has a taped strip that comes loose. Rear diff rusted on a bunch (Yea it's a truck but $55K?) Rear seat arm rest won't sit flush, body panels not flush, and this is what I have seen on the lot. On other forums add in the moon roof leaks and erosion around bolts to body panels and a few other things. This had to be the worst F150 launch in Fords history. Sorry, but to me it is slop. My 2001 may have a lot of plastic parts interior wise, but the 2015 is cheap plastic. I love the looks of the 2015, but Ford is over charging by $10k for that truck.

I can only offer my own personal experience. Had a 2013 F150 STX Super Cab 4x4 with 5.0. Towing a 7x14 enclosed with 2 Harleys in it from the northwest corner of NY state to the Daytona area I got 8 - 8.5 MPG. The thing was in 4th gear most of the time. Local driving I got 13 - 13.5. I got rid of it as soon as I got home from vacation.
Got a new 2104 F250 Super Cab 4x4. 6.2/3.73. Pulling a larger (7x18) enclosed with same 2 Harleys plus a Harley trike added in I got 9 - 9.5 MPG on the same trip. Local driving I've been getting 14 - 14.5.
I figured if I was going to get 3/4 ton truck mileage anyway like I was with that F150, I may as well drive a 3/4 ton and have the extra towing & cargo capacity.

Local driving you were getting 13.5 mpg with a 5.0?? You mean with a loaded trailer... right?

Love my 6.2 w/3.73. Kinda mushy on the pedal I agree. I can from a 10' 5.4 motor. But after a few months of me driving it, I love it. Push the pedal and it will go. Most I have towed was around 5-6k and it didn't break a sweat. I have no experience with the 5.0. I mostly wanted the SD because of looks.

I would never buy a 150 eco boooooom engine is way to small and for the price of my friends 2wd lifted 5.0 f150 that looks great buts really not to workable. You get so much more truck with the 250 and if you look hard enough you’ll find 250, 350s for less than the price of 150 esp in the gas market. Also the operating cost of a 250 compared to a 150 is very close.

The F250 did feel exactly as you stated "pulling around a boat anchor" when unloaded. The 5.0 seems to drive much better and since it's a 150 it feels like a luxury car.

Your user name is Turbo dog and you don't like turbos? Asking for a friend.

No doubt a IFS F150 will ride WAY NICER than a SFA Super Duty. Not that you would consider it or think about it, if you think that 5.0 tows nice now being naturally aspirated, a singe turbo would wake that thing right up and make more power while riding way nicer...
