surging at idle

Truck is 04 has been BP'd but did it before the BPng and continues to surge when stopped. Sometimes feels like the trans has not gone to neutral and it wants to pull forward. Other times it will surge while at a red light or when stopped for whatever reason. Does not do this underway. Any ideas what may be the issue? I have SG 2 and the rpms do not drop a lot and the other indicated functions have small if any changes, but dont know which ones to monitor for this. No stalling or anything just the surge and the feeling it has not dropped out of gear at some stops.

TIA Hank

Mine was doing the same, feels like it wants to take off occasionally? RPM don't change much, just a feeling like it kicked into gear and then back out?

A/C system was low on freon and when the clutch kicked in, took more than it should have needed to get the A/C compressor spinning... it's a drag on the belt. Truck is adjusting for the load, don't notice underway because RPM is up already.

Will it continue to behave the same way with the ICP unplugged?

What should it read? Mine hangs around 22.8-23.3 when warmed up in park at idle.
