LMC sells most of the latch related parts but they don't cross-reference it to the Ford part number so I am not certain whether they have what you are looking for.

Clueless ebay seller ad says 1967/72. WRONG! 1967 is 1967 ONLY! This also includes the door lock remote controls and etc. 1967 only door parts.

Due to the type of inside door handles pictured in the ad, these used parts are 1968/72.

1968/72 F100/750:

C8TZ-8121812-A .. Right Door Latch / Obsolete

TISON MOTOR CO. in Estill SC has 1 = 803-625-2551.

KAMA OBSOLETE PARTS in East Bethel MN has 1 = 763-434-0123.

MILLER OBSOLETE PARTS in Binghamton NY has 2 = 607-722-5371.

NOS PARTS LTD in Waxahachie TX has 4 = 972-937-2201.

CARPENTER NOS OBSOLETE PARTS in Concord NC has 4 = 800-476-9653.

GREEN SALES CO. in Cincinnati OH has 15 = 800-543-4959.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
C8TZ-8121813-A .. Left Door Latch / Obsolete

No Ford dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any.

True, but the latches listed on eBay are for a 68-72. The op's truck is a 70.

It's a good caveat, though. Many eBay sellers assume all bumpside parts are interchangeable, in ignorance or laziness.

Look at the ad, both the heading and the applications include 1967. I looked at the pics, due to the type of the inside door handles, these parts are 1968/72, not 1967!

1967 F100/750: You push the inside handles forward to lock the doors, 1968/72 F100/750's have door lock *****.

1967 F100/750 only: Door shells, door lock remote controls, door latches, window regulators, inside door and window handles, vent frames, vent frame handles, door lock cylinder rods, door trim panels, armrests.

1967/72 F100/750 same: Door/vent window glass, outside door handles, upper/lower hinges, division bars, door lock cylinders, weatherstrips.

I called the seller, gave him the correct applications.

Checking

My door latch on RH appears to have a broken spring inside, as the latches close when the door is open, I then have to pry it open.
The LH I am replacing as much as I can because the door lock doesn't work. So I have ordered most of the inner workings from LMCTruck.com.
I am going to take it apart this weekend to see if I can just replace the spring.
Thanks for the eBay item, this is a new listing as I had seen one prior that had ended.

LMC's catalog is rife with errors and omissions, so make sure the parts you buy are for 1968/72's, not 1967!

Yes, I know. What I meant was the parts are for a 68-72 in reality, not in the words of the seller.

As I said, it (ie, your post) is a good caveat.

No problem! I watch eBay parts listings religiously.

My door latches were pretty sticky (truck sat unused for 25 years) so I sprayed them liberally with Break Free CLP and worked them until they functioned properly. Unless you're sure the springs are broken you might try that, if you haven't already, before you buy parts.

Not to steal the thread, but I've heard varying takes on what to lube things like door latches and window cranks with in order to get the best results. So much so that I am thoroughly confused and generally just hit it with some white lithium because I have it handy. Is there a "best" way to lube things like that so they don't break as easily?

I used Break Free because it was handy (I use it to clean gunked up guns, like .22 semi-auto pistols that get VERY grimy with soot and lead) and because it's formulated to do just that: get gunked up metal parts un-gunked. My latches were badly caked with old grease and dust. The only way to get the doors to stay shut was to slam them. Not good.

I cannot say it's the best stuff or even the right stuff. It worked for me, though, and my door latches have been working flawlessly for a year now with one application of synthetic gun oil at about the six month mark.

Synthetic gun oil, from what I've been told, doesn't evaporate and leave behind a gummy film. Granted, it's for guns but these old door latches are pretty simple and I haven't seen any negative effects so far.

Lithium grease may be just the thing. Others might know from experience.

One wonders why the repro guys passed on doing the 1968-72 door latches. They've been reproducing the others for years. So when I see or hear of a driver's door sold cheap and it it has a door latch in it, I'll jump on it.
