Soft Brake Pedal

Hello all. I am new to the forum and I am in need a some help. I own a 2008 Ford Ranger XLT 4.0L 4x4. Last week, as I was leaving work for the day, I shifted my truck into Drive with the brake pedal pressed, and the pedal went to the floor. Due to previous experience on Mothers' Day 2014 in my grandmother's S-10 Blazer, I knew that I had an issue with my brake system.

Before I became to concerned, I drove my truck around in the parking lot to see if may be it was a fluke...not so much. I parked my truck without destroying any property, and then got out to inspect the brakes. I found that the front passenger brake hose had a hole in it, and brake fluid dripping everywhere.

I purchased a new hose and brake fluid from a local auto store, and my father assisted me with replacing the hose. When we first attempted it, we found that the new hose had a different connection where it attached to the hard line. My father took it back to the store, and they said, "This is all we show for the vehicle;" so we took it home and took the end to a grind stone to make it fit in the stock frame bracket.

The next day, we were able to install the hose, and we bled the brakes. I drove the truck around the parking lot once we got nothing but fluid, and found the brake pedal to be soft...yet braking. I drove my truck home, and my father and I bled the brakes two additional times. Still, the pedal is soft.

Any suggestions on why this happening? Any suggestions are welcomed. Thank you in advance.
