7.3 idi guages set

This probably was discussed but what aftermarket guages are best? Can I get a set with Pyro coolant temp and oil pressure? Don't really care about volt meter but if it was included that would be great? Are there kits with everything out there? Also suggestions for locations of sending units? I know on my 12 valve it's not accurate past the turbo I was unsure on a naturally aspirated engine.

I use autometer. water temp, pyro and boost. water temp sender where the idiot light was (retaining stock guage function), pyro in passenger side manifold between last two cylinders and boost right off the plug in the elbow (not that it's applicable in your setup)

Pyros are usually mounted in the header directly behind the #8 cylinder. VDO and sunpro are good gauges, VDO are a pretty reasonable price too

You can also use bottom-of-the-barrel Chinese digital gauges, for $25 each.
Cheap, work decently well.

I'm looking into aftermarket gauges as well, and I'm not sure, but one heck of a lot of any name brands, and 'made in USA', are in fact Chinese.

I know this for a fact, from my old man, who's retired, and has nothing better to do than order varying things from China...... He's ordered a number of name brand, high end gun components from there.

When he's received the packages, I guess just to being retired, and old, has then called up the 'official American made' company, and asked for nick nack replacement parts; all fit perfectly. I'm not going into detail as to what he's ordered, but for the American made counterpart, it'd be a grand, or more, while the exact Chinese 'model', in the 'American made box', is less than 50 bucks.

I've been shocked at the differing things he's ordered from China, they all show up with 'made in the USA', official packaging. I seriously question anything 'made in' anywhere at this point, and do think a lot of the higher end stuff is just outsourced at this point in time.

He's ordered stuff that shows up 'made in usa', 'made in the uk', 'made in sweden', 'made in switzerland', et el.
