Evening all!

My accomplishment for the day was finally getting a real door on the shop. It's not the prettiest door, but it opens and closes. I still need to make the door jambs and give it some paint, but it's up.

Doesn't take much to entertain me...

 

I got to cut locks and get into the old FD bldg today. I was looking into the possibility of using it for storage....it needs a new roof or at least some repair, it has a dry rotted hole about a foot in diameter.

Well he showed up at 5 minutes to five. He brought a cashier's check for the full amount and not a penny more. We drove to the bank together and I had our bank call his bank by looking up the number on the internet. Then verified the check and the signatures on the check were good. She said there was no problem and everything was fine, so I have a pocket full of cash and he has a box truck. I'm still a little nervous about spending any of the money for a few days, but I'm crossing my fingers it's all good.

....and I had him completely fill out the bottom stub of the title, so I have his name, address, driver's license number and date of birth. I was watching him and verified the info he wrote down was what was on his license.

 

thats good alan..you know it has to be a good deal.. the guy is a preacher.. ha ha ha ha ha ha

 

Lol, yeah right. You should've seen the two he brought with him. Mr. an Mrs. Meth head. I don't mind telling you I was nervous. My friend Larry stopped by, so he stayed with them at the shop while we went to the bank.

 

Got the LED trailer lights wired up on the bump and one headlight lol good enough for test drive #2 and notched the hood supports like Fordsix recommended and now the hood shuts and didn't have to move any of the motor stuff.

it is daylight finally... still a slow drizzle.. i have a lot of gaskets and parts stacked up in the living room i wanted to take to the shop this morning but not enough room in the S10 cab for them so i have to wait to see if this rain stops before i head that way.. i sure hate sitting and waiting to go to work..

 

Morning boys, looks nice here and no rain so far....I have to go to the oldest grandson's b day party, he is turning 13.

 

wow rich a teenaged grandson.. you are catching up with me.. ha ha ha

well i did get the engine hoist boom mounted onto the back of the flat-bump yesterday..so now i can use my "wrecker" to move the 84 4x4v into the shop and get started on it.. not sure what i am building yet but i need to get some of these trucks built and out of my shop and into someone else's .. then maybe i can feed my poor starving skinny piggy bank..

 

RC I found your snake yesterday evening, he had relocated to the maroon parts trucks air filter lid. At least when I opened the hood to look for something, there he was all coiled up and just and setting there.

FYI that is a great situation to shoot a hole in a truck. lol None the less I shoveled him off and he went to his burrow under the truck.....

 

well rich catch my snake and bring him over to me.. i need him to patrol the shop

 

Yea....I am on that, you are more likely to get a snake skin hat band, or a pair of snake skin moccasins. lol

 

the rain stopped..i managed to get most of the p[arts into the cab of the S10.. but poor taz will have to stay home...... alan you can call me at the shop .. i am outta here..ya'll have a good day

 

I got the doorjamb in and weatherstripped the door and that's going to be about it for the day. I managed to step in a mess of chiggers and my right ankle is chewed up and itching like mad. I've got caladryl lotion slathered on and it wrapped up.
