Picking up my 2015 5.0 tomorrow! Supercab (yes I know about the crash test) and I'm very excited about it. XLT Sport with 20" wheels, coming from a 2013 Ecoboost. I tow a 7000 enclosed car hauler so I'm interested to see how the V8 compare to the Eco pulling a load

On the flats, it will probably be about equal to the ecoboost. If you have to go into the mountains, maybe not as well. That boost really helps when the air gets thin.
I did mean 5.3 sorry for the mix up I was thinking of my old Silverado that had the vortec 5.7. Either way the 5.0 out performs my 14 Sierra.
I agree! I have a 2011 FX4 Supercab 5.0L and even though it's a heavier model than the 2015 trucks, It feels stronger than the 2014 Silverado 5.3L I recently got to drive.
Congrats on your new truck!
I got 17 days to wait for my new 5.0 S/C - coming from a 2000 S/C 5. 4 - So no problem in seeing a difference in power for me
