Does anyone know if the later model F150 retractable step tailgates would fit a 2004 F150 Fx4 Bed, or has the rear part of the bed been changed in design, so as to make this not possible (by progression, not necessarily intention).

 

I dont know if the tailgate would physically fit or not, like the hinges and latches, but I know that the body lines wouldn't line up above the tail lights.
