Question of the Week: Have you owned non-Ford trucks?

For our newest Question of the Week, we want to know if you have owned a truck from a company other than Ford.

Did you own other brands before getting into your first Ford or have you bounced around over the years?

I had an S10. It was a pile that would have been cheaper to give away. A couple Mazdas, a Toyota and an Isuzu too. I'll stick with Fords.

I had a 1984 Dodge W250 Sno Commander I wish I still had. I loved that truck, factory equipped with Myers snow plow. I also had an International, can't remember the year, late 70's maybe.

Had Chev and GMC 3/4 tons gassers. No problem with either until right at 200,000 miles.

Yes, and all Chevys too. Altho not really a truck, I had a 70 El Camino SS. A 76 Chevy 4x4, my best and favorite truck ever. , a n 81 Chevy 4x4, Probably the worst truck I ever had, only because the PO ripped me off, by switching engines without me knowing between the time I looked at the truck and the time he asked me if I was interested in buying it.
I also had 2 Jeeps also not classified as trucks., a 74 I rolled and the 73 I still have.

My second truck was a new 97 1500 Cheyenne. 185k, needed rebuild so a 350 was used, just had to pay core. Big improvement from 305. Sold it at 210k to pay off new wife's fairly new F150 and I never went back. To GM.

I've had more GM trucks than Fords. I tend to be a Ford guy with the classic cars but until recently liked the Chevy and GMC trucks. I've had a 70 C10, 77 and 79 GMC over the years. I also had a 78 and 68 El Camino but those are sorta trucks. I've had Fords too (77 F150 and 90 Ranger).

This 2005 Super Duty is the first 'luxury' truck I have owned. How do I define 'luxury'? With the exception of the Ranger this is the first truck I have owned that had carpeting.
