2009 Escape squeaking noise UNTIL tapping brakes
I have a 2009 Escape with about 70,000 miles. I've been noticing a small squeaking noise from the front left wheel, at all speeds. However, the noise stops as soon as I put the slightest pressure on the brake pedal. Just pressing it ever so slightly is enough to stop the squeaking. Sometimes it resumes after lifting my foot, other times it does not come right back.
Any ideas? I've done some searching, but most seem to be squeaking when applying the brakes, not the other way around.
Thanks
Edit: Brakes were done about 25,000 miles ago. Brakes themselves feel fine.

I'd check them. Could be a pad that came apart or something is not aligned correctly.
Could just be something stuck in there that needs to be cleaned out or might need some of that grease that is used on the backs of the pads.
Several small things it could be but until you pull the wheel off you'll never know.
