Thank you. I am leaning toward a 2013 or by the time we buy a 2014. Now I'm trying to decide if its worth it to pay the premium to get one under 36,000 miles or one in the 40's.

Also on a side note I really wish that the Platinum would have come with a unique color or color combination. I can't believe how many colors the XLT/Lariat comes in and you only get 4/5 color options for the Platinum.

Since you planning to buy a used truck I'd suggest giving this brochure a look.

The F150 comes with no tow package, a tow package and max tow. If you are using a 7 pin connector and a brake controller you want a tow package. The integrated brake controller is very nice. The integrated controller can be added much easier if you have a tow package. The max tow option has the nice towing mirrors.
I think the 3.5 EcoBoost is a fantastic towing engine. You should drive a couple.

My 2013 has not had a single issue; its now got ~24,500 mi. I tow my boat and pop-up camper frequently. The 5.0 tows great; I've also towed a car hauler with a Chevy Impala on it 300 miles through the hills of KY like a champ. There are many F-150's to choose from. The upper trims are stellar. I was on a tight budget (the purchase was unexpected); I could not afford a Lariat or Platinum and I wanted to buy new; so it was the STX for me. I have been very happy with it thus far. Good luck and enjoy your new truck.
