Not Ford related but I found a "pumpkin" laying out in the open for the rear axle on my 1957 New Yorker convertible. That was back in 1980. Haven't gotten that lucky since.

Ah, nostalgia. Like many of you older wrenchers, I recall when boneyards had stuff from the 50's through 70's all day long. I recall early thunderbirds, Mustangs, Camaros, Torinos, Rancheros, Chevelles, Corvairs, Mopars, absolutely you name it. High fin Cadillacs, round body 50's iron, sigh. I used to sit in them as a kid and just marvel at how cool they were. Sadly, all gone now. I wish I could go back and relive just one of those old visits. My haunts were Speedway just across the river from the Arch in St. Louis, and Taylor's in the city by the cemetary and the old drive in. Some fantastic memories; doing nothing at all but wandering the boneyards with my Dad, marveling at the majesty of an era gone by.
