P1102 and 0.0 reading from the MAF

Hi,

I am wondering what could cause a P1102 MAF reading in range, but lower than expected but when I monitor it with my Insight it shows the MAF reading at 0.0. I tried a new MAF and that didn't work. Any thoughts on how I can further troubleshoot it? The truck is an 07 F350 and it is runs good so there is air flow.

its reading zero.... looks good and is good are two different things. You may need to check the wires with a meter.

Unless the Insight isn't set-up properly, that could be the case. Any friends close to you have a different gauge to try on your truck or your Insight on there truck?

Does the reading ever move from zero?

Do you know where the next plug is off of the MAF? I could trace them but if you have a rough idea I would appreciate it.

With the Insight all you do is select MAF, there is really nothing else to change. Unfortunately I don't know anyone else that owns a 6.0, or else I would go plug my Insight into their truck. I might go find a used 6.0 on a dealer lot somewhere and plug it into that truck and go for a short test drive just to verify that the Insight can actually read it properly. According to the Edge website MAF is a supported PID for the 6.0 though.

Does not ever move from zero, always says 0.0.

there may be a member close to you. Fill in your user information so we can see where your from and the signature to tell us what has been done to the truck... that way, nobody is guessing.

Where are you in the world?
