picture request, hood hinges when closed

Hi,
I am trying to figure out how much space the hood hinges take when they are closed, that is the hinge with the springs that is bolted to the cab. Does anyone have a picture with the hinges in the closed position with the hood off or some way to see under there? I am not sure if the hinge goes inside the inner fenderwell area or stays above it, I want to mount some stuff on the inner fenders and dont want the hinges to hit. 1951 F1.

Thanks, I have the springs mounted and can move them down, but I am not sure how they actually move with the hood on and how low they go.

Maybe if someone has the motor out but still has the hood on they could crawl inside the engine bay, drop the hood down and take a pic. then use their cell phone to call for help when the hood latches.Sorry, couldn't help it.

I'm thinking a selfie stick!

This is what I got with the hood about where the safety catch was just touching the latch. Going further down, the springs stay about the same relative to the hood.

You guys kick ***!
That is perfect and shows that the hinges never get into the inner fenderwell area, so plenty of room.
Thank you a ton, I will be saving those pics for future reference and I am sure the question will come up again.

Jimmy's a genius. This is one of those solutions where you go, Doh! Why didn't I think of that.
Time to go put my camera in the fridge and video the door closing to watch the light go out.

Absolutely, this could easily have turned tragic. "Cold Case Mystery of missing FTE man solved, foul play not suspected."
