Back Again!

So I changed out the Exhaust Manifolds on my truck! What a job! Took me a week by myself to do them. I tell ya those bolts were horrible! I have pictures to show talk If I can post them on here? Well anyways, I have a problem the truck starts shaking at around 30-35 and around 55-65. It does it all the time and last time i checked I had a 411 code. When I press on the gas it shakes and hesitates and doesn't wanna go anywhere. I have to let off the pedal and push on it slowly and its ok sometimes it still just shakes. Ugh! Help please! I love j Is forum and yalls advice. Oh yeah 92 Ford F-150 5.0 (302) 4x4. I have not done a tune up yet. Fairly new injectors and haven't messed with any sensors. I have unplugged the IAC sensor and it dropped down to 500 RPMs. Plugged it back in and it went back up some. So I guess that's working?

I checked the vacumm hoses but no leaks. I do have a leak in the vacumm reservoir but that wouldn't affect it like it is. It's just got emissions. Could it be the Idle Air Control sensor? Or some other sensor? It saids low rpm fault with Key on engine runnin test. Code 411. I will do another check engine light and get the codes and post them.

So I'm getting codes 172 and 332. Could it be the tomato looking can? It does have a hole punctured in it.

Thank you good sir! So should I rule out the vacumm Reservoir (Tomato looking can) it has a hole in it. Would that make my EGR Valve not wanna work right? Also the O2 Sensor is the original one I think. Saids FORD on it and made in USA. Haha

IIRC the coffee can (tomato can) is linked to the egr so possibly its been awhile since I owned one lol.

Also I remember a trick with the egr, as long as you don't unhook the solenoids it shouldn't throw a code, I blocked one off with a penny and didn't have an issue.

Also a 02 sensor could cause the egr code and vise versa

I will change out the tomato can first, is there a different reservoir I can use for it from a truck that's a little better? I don't wanna put a can back in there. I did take the top off the EGR and cleaned the middle and the top piece too. Still nothing though.

I can't remember if they switched to plastic "cans" in the obs or in the newer model 97-03. May be able to make a plastic one work

Junkyard here I come! Hopefully this fixes it. The EGR valve does look like the original one. What's the life span on those by chance? I don't wanna change it there $85 bucks so let's hope that can does the trick! The 02 sensor I seen to buy was Bosch I heard they suck on older vehicles is that true?

I've always used Bosch and never really had a problem with em, honestly your already heading to the bone yard I'd snag acouple egrs while your there, sometimes you can find almost brand new ones

Before you go buy a new/used can, you could try to use duct tape over the hole and seal it, just to see if the code goes away and it runs right. No sense in just throwing money at it if you haven't pin pointed the problem.

Very true! It does have a hole/dent in it. So idk if duct tape would work. I will try that though and see what happens thank you. It would be cheaper then doing the EGR Valve though.

Good idea! I will have to take a few. They can't charge but so much for them since it's a junk yard. I'm guessing 15-20 bucks?

This is random. But my gas pedal keeps getting stuck half way. Found out the plastic on the cable broke and makes it stick. Can I just buy the cable assembly for the gas? Or do I have to get a cruise control one too? It's $56.00 for the whole setup and $20 for just the accelerator cable.
