You wouldn't happen to know what the one I need looks like, and by the intake tube im guessing it is the long piece that comes past the battery to the grill area??

also do we have any type of forum discount code for Rock Auto by any chance??

I have decided that I am going to go through with the purchase for the $250.52 verses the $300.00 of evilebay... but figure ill tie these loose ends up first

Wish this wasn't needed but at least im fixing a flawed design and making the system better for the truck at the same time...

I did a lot of reading and research and asked tons of Q's before purchasing AIS for my 2002 Excursion.

Tugly and others did a lot of much appreciated testing.

It boils down to this:

AIS can handle anything STOCK injectors can throw at it
S&B can deliver more for larger injectors, but is a bit louder and a little more $$

The stock E99 airbox has the E99 intake tube.
You can see the difference.

Clay at RiffRaff sells a AIS kit with the intake tube or just the intake tube for a Late99-03 .

Is it under $250? I assume they would have some sort of forum discount code?

Sorry but I just don't know who is selling what for what price. I do know for fact that Clay's customer service is first class and you might pay alittle more then other places but it is well worth the few extra buck $$. I do not believe he uses discount codes since his prices are very good to begin with.
But I don't know for sure??

I myself as I said in the first post it took me a long time to find a used one and traded $35 & a diff tool for my AIS.

Jaime & z31, there is a hold-down clip missing on the one in the pic. Need to find that clip or it is worthless. It will leak air past the filter without it.
