Cowboy with a bad back

I would like members who know about 72 ford f100 electrical. Whom have skills or knowledge to help me out with installing an external regulator with an electronic ignition. I bought this truck which has a 390 & has a lot of power. Then I found out that there is no external regulator to be found. All info would be greatly appreciated. Godspeed to all...

Thanks

I need info on how to install this external VR on my 72 Ford f100. My truck has an electronic ignition & I have searched the net. but there wasn't any useful info to wire the two together. Since I am new to the community threads, I will figure out how to post some pics of my problems. I have been trying to figure out this problem for almost a year.😥 If anyone can help me out this would be great teaching for me. Once I get my truck running my 1 & a half years old daughter would love it. All she can do is stand in the seat & pretend she is driving.

Sorry for this long thread. But this means a lot to my family & I.

Try asking in the '67 to '72 section...they've helped me a lot with my old '67.

A new one wire alternator can be purchased for less than $100 the problem. Otherwise someone in that section probably has a wiring diagram that will help.
