Screwed Up Today

Left the ex's house (my house she occupies) and backed into mailbox leaving a couple quarter sized songs and paint missing to the bare metal. I'll get it repaired at some point unless I can find a take off locally, but in the meantime trying to think of a creative way of masking my stupidity with a sticker. Got access to a vinyl printer but coming up empty on sticker ideas (I hate stickers). Any thoughts??

How about a picture of the area so we can help?

(Sorry for the mistake, but at least it isn't a huge boo boo)

Depends where it is. What color is the truck? If it's dark you might be able to use a matched color and if it's sorta small it might just hide itself to the common observer until you find another solution.

Ford, U.S. Flag, army, navy, etc...

College? Pro sports?

Or you could just own it and print a picture of a bashed up mailbox to cover up the dings. Sorry that happened though.

How about a twist on the old stickers that show the little boy relieving himself on the truck of another manufacture. Only this time have him do so on a mail box. Kind of an old story different ending scenario.

Thinking the best thing is to just have it fixed. Can't see any way of easily covering it up.

A Platinum panel would probably cost more than repair and repaint.

Or, just a sticker beside it with an arrow pointing toward the damage, saying "You should see the other guy".

A Platinum panel has a bazillion anchor points. He'd need the correct tail gate for it.

How about PDR (paintless dent removal) and touch up paint?

Sorry it happened!

That's true. Looks like Swiss cheese under the cover.

You did better than me, I backed into a concrete post and destroyed the bumper and box side Maybe fill the dents and put a vinyl wrap on the whole tailgate.

Sorry for the damage. It happens. I side swiped one of those blue drop off mailboxes in my old f150 years ago that left a nice crease in the bed. looked at for a few months before just ponying up and fixing it. Damage to tailgates is common but since it's so new yeah, I'd just get it fixed.

Yeah I'm thinking this is gonna be the best approach. Shouldn't cost too much and I have a pint of paint from getting the grill done.
