Searching for a '53-'56 F100 panel truck
I am starting a search for a 53-56 F100 panel truck. Not looking for anything already done but would like something that isn't rotted. I plan to do a restomod and use it as my work truck for my business.
Doesn't need a motor or interior. Just a semi solid body and frame. All suspension and running gear will be bought new as I want it to be reliable above all.
Any leads would be appreciated. I've looked around the internet and just haven't come across anything that isn't too expensive for the shape its in. Thanks, Scott.

There was one N of Martinsville, VA along rt 220. It was on craigslist and I posted it in this forum. Won't be going back down that way for a few months though.
Sometimes spending more initially saves you money in the long run. And you can drive it and enjoy it sooner. Have a friend who was going through his 66 F100. I told him of one in Martinsville that was road ready for $4400. He said he all ready had over $6500 tied up in his and wasn't even close to being done.....
The one near Martinsville looks like the green one pictured above.

That is a nice looking panel.
Scott, go for it. You can sell the 355 and put your coyote in it. It's so rare to see one of these with the rear doors not rotted out.

Since that panel is in NY and that"paint" can hide a lot of sins in photographs, I'd go in person or have a trusted knowledgeable individual put eyes on it before handing over money.
Don't worry, there are plenty of people ready and willing to jump on that engine/tranny, they are in high demand. Better set a LOT of funds and time aside for that coyote swap, it ain't gonna be quick, cheap or easy!
