96 F-350 Fuel Filling problem
I have a 96 F-350 Dually with dual tanks, 5.8L 351W Gas.
When i try to fill either tank can only do it very slow, and even then it shuts off and have to re-squeeze the nozzle. If i try to fill at a newer gas station where the pumps are fast i have to squeeze every 2-3 seconds to fill the tanks. Does anyone know how this is supposed to vent, i have pulled off the fuller tube and i dont see any tube inside it as is described in some other posts i found. I have had this problem since i bought the truck, possibly a PO ripped out the inner vent tubes on both tanks?

This is what the filler hose is supposed to look like. The small hose on the inside is how the gas goes in and the air comes back around the outside of the small hose up the big hose and out the neck. Take the easiest clamp you can get to loose, pull it SLIGHTLY apart, and see if the little hose is still there and attached to the filler neck. If it just came loose, you can take it all apart and re-attach it to the neck. If it is missing you can buy some hose and make one. If everything is there and attached, a block of wood is in your future.

Block of wood? Please explain? I have the same problem, except mines a diesel.

You run the driver side rear tire up on the block of wood at the fueling station to tilt the truck in a favorable way. I have a flatbed and some stations are just too sensitive to bother. Others have tipped surfaces next to the pumps, they receive my business more regularly.
That's funny! never thought of that. My truck does seem to fill better, when it is facing down hill. Maybe i'll just install a lift kit on the rearend only! LOL, I don't recon!
