Keyless Code

Ok just bought a '04 F250 Diesel. Loving everything but can't get the keyless code to work. The keypad lights when I touch it and I have retrieved the 5 digit code from the "Bosch" box behind the radio. No deal. Locks don't react at all to the factoy code. Know what? I read that there is a list of all the possible codes. Where can I get that list?

starting with doors locked enter the factory code then hit the 1-2 button the locks should cycle. Enter the 5 digit code you want to set and the locks should cycle again to show it accepted code. You should be good to go. To give it a try close door hit the 7-8 9-0 buttons together that should lock doors, enter your code and it should unlock doors.

thanks for the reply but no luck. There's no response to the factory code. Any other suggestions?

Programming Your Own Personal Entry Code

Your personal code does not replace the factory-set code. You can use either code to unlock your vehicle. Each time you set a new personal code, the module will erase the previous one in favor of the new code. The factory-set code can not be erased.

Enter the factory-set code (keypad will illuminate when first digit is pressed).
Press the 1/2 control within five seconds of step one.
Enter your personal five-digit code. Enter each digit within five seconds of the previous one.
Erasing Your Personal Code or a Prior Owner's Code

Enter the factory-set code.
Press the 1/2 control within five seconds of step one.
Press the 7/8 and 9/0 controls at the same time within five seconds of step two. The system will now only respond to the factory-set code.

If you know anyone with an IDS/VCMII (this includes Ford dealerships) they can retrieve the code.

As I understand it the IDS should be able to give you the door code.
Might be a case of a failed module.

To the OP (Original Poster)

Is the key pad doing anything? Can you lock the doors with the pad?
If not you might want to look inside the door to verify that the pad
is still plugged in to the harness.

Just had a thought.

Do you have factory key fobs and do they work?
Was an aftermarket alarm system installed in this truck?

My truck had a aftermarket alarm installed at some point in its life. Soon purchase I tore the dash apart to fish out the 5 digit code ( because I refuse to give ford 50 bucks for 5 min of work) only to have it NOT work. So you're saying the aftermarket alarm could have something to do with it????

Keyless Code

The Keyfob I have working I programmed. It's aftermarket. The door keypad is driving me crazy. I pulled it off and replaced the battery and it doesn't always light up when a button is pressed! I almost took a hammer to it! Makes no sense to me, I have the code, I have the keypad, I have no success! Wondering if $77 for a new one is the route I'm going.

So what you have is a working fob and a stick on wireless door key pad?

If you press the 7/8,9/0 buttons at the same time does the truck lock?

Youtube is you friend, Well sometimes.

This might help. I was thinking that it has something to do with the keyfob
system and this points that way. Worth a try.

i wonder if the remote keypad is aftermarket also? that would explain the factory code not working.

BINGO! You are the man! I never thought about having to program the keypad into the receiver! I had added a new Keyfob and I guess that deleted all other devices. THANKS you saved that keypad from the hammer of death! And saved me $77 bucks! QUOTE=Yahiko;15528685]So what you have is a working fob and a stick on wireless door key pad?
