Transmission Problems

I have 93 F-250 with E40D transmission. The overdrive light is flashing and it shifts VERY hard. It also needs increased RPM before shifting to next gear. I never put it in overdrive so I don't know what happens in that gear. Oil level appears to be OK. Any suggestions what could be wrong?

If the OD light is flashing that means there are codes stored. Have them read then you will know for sure.

It could be anything from a bad connection on up.
