need some advice/help

hello all, I'm in need of some advice. I have a 2006 F-250 KR CCSB, it has been sitting for a while, approximately 9 months. It has about 108,000 miles on it. I know diesels need to run but my situation would not allow me to run it for the 9 months. I am wondering if some of you would have some advice as to what to do it/ add to it when i return to start it and run it so as to not cause any issues with it sitting for so long. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all and have a good day.

Hopefully you either disconnected the batteries or put a battery tender on each battery. If not that could be a problem. Clean and regrease the battery cables and terminals. Grease any zerks on it. Check all fluids. Check tires for dry rot and proper PSI. Was it stored in or outside? Do you live in the desert or somewhere damp? The rotors may be rusted if the later. So apply the brakes heavy a few times at 40ish mph to knock off the rust. Inspect accordingly.
You might consider a fuel filter and seperator change. MAW do the oil too while your at it, its been sitting.
Brake fluid should be changed bi-yearly or at 50K. Trans fluid should be changed at 25-35K unless you tow heavy equipment, then @ 15K is better. All this is in the manual.
Check things for rodent infestation...air cleaner and intake tube etc...

9 months isn't really that long. A lot of collector cars, boats and other seasonal equipment sit long periods of time as well. It sure helps if it is sitting inside protected from the elements. I always store with a full fresh tank of fuel hopefully you topped off the tanks it helps keep condensation out.
