2016 F-250 with 6.2 L. What mods to improve towing if any Buying 1st truck...

ATP Pilot, i see you have the same truck i have. I've been trying to decide if i can tow a 10,500 empty 5th wheel. The wife wants a bed room slide and those in a nice floor plan are hard to find under 10,000 lbs. Do you have any issues towing your 5th wheel? Any info would be helpful. thanks
Works much better in Manual mode when on long interstate runs to control the shifting. I run in "M" 5th gear and going over the over-passes I except loosing 2-3 mph at the top over the constant gear hunting in the "D" mode. If I see a grade, like a real bridge, I'll select 4th gear before the run to keep the speed up.
I have had it out in Texas hill country and had to use 3rd a few times on some good hills. Still pulls good at 50 mph in 3rd.
It will get you there no problems, if you work with what you have.
8 mpg average pulling my signature 5th wheel and I have pulled it over 3,000 miles.

ATP Pilot & Hedgehog1..... you guys running in the Tow Haul mode aswell as using Manual shift? Or does manual mode kick tow haul out?
Just picked up a 2016 F350 CC SB 6.2L Have a 28' TT
I find that I like keeping the truck out of 6th most of the time driving empty even. Just has RPM & pwr when needed rather then waiting for it to kick down or always dropping gears on the Hwy.

Our Ford dealer uses SCT. They installed and update whenever it is needed; and it did not affect warranty. Run Hi test and see an improvement you can feel.
