Drastic
Well, maybe wrong choice of words. I drive a compact Mazda and usually have to fill up about every week in a half. During that same time period after my first use of 44K, I still had over 1/4 of a tank. To me that is drastic when you can go two to three more days without filling up.

adelyser,I use the Chevron Techron every oil change too and never a problem, but my 96 Cougar is a gas hog,it's gas mileage isn't much better than my Expy, maybe I'll try some BG44K and see if it improves. Get rid of those darn B&M shift improvers though,go to www.tccoa.com ,click on the technical articles and read the transmission articles. They're pretty long, but were done by Jerry W.,he was formerly a Ford transmission engineer ,widely known in Ford circles for the "Jerry Mod" for trannies and is also one heck of a guy to Dyno tune Ford vehicles. I met him when the Windy City Marauders had a dyno day and he is THE MAN. He has Fords running around with his trans mods that have 550 RWHP and the trannies are practically bulletproof.

Supposedly Marathon gas has the most effective detergents for the fuel system of the different brands of gas,the Chevron Techron fuel injection cleaner was touted as the most effective additive sold. If you keep buying Chevron gas you will make my son happy as he has Chevron stock.

Techron®
Techron® Concentrate brand fuel additive is unsurpassed. That mean there are none better. The lawyers even let us say that in our ads at a very conservative, huge oil company .
It's exclusive polyether amine technology (PEA) originally invented and patented by Chevron (now ChevronTexaco).
In fact other PEA chemicals (but not the Techron product) are sold to other companies by the Oronite Chemicals divison of ChevronTexaco.
Chevron gasolines with Techron are used by all US automakers for govenment emissions testing, primairly because of the Techron bulk additive in it. Chevron does not even sell fuel in Michigan, and it has to be hauled in from Louisivlle, Kentucky!
[Yes I work for ChevronTexaco, but this my unofficial opinion.]
