1988 F-150 4x4

I just bought this truck a couple of weeks ago. Paid a whole $900 for it. It runs. It drives. The cab and bed are in great shape, and it was able to make a 5-hour drive back home. The plan is to sand off the surface rust, spot prime it, and paint it up camo with my son to make it a hunting truck.

Nice find and great price! Might want to check out where that red power cable behind the seat (second pic) leads to. Probably disconnected but I've personally seen some ugly wiring from previous owners. I helped my ex buy a Jeep Cherokee, and going over it after we got home I found wiring that was run straight from the battery, thru the "frame" (unibody truck) and over to the trailer hitch with NO fuse. Just live wires dangling with the ends frayed and exposed waiting to short out.

Is your name HerkyBird as in C-130?

Thanks for the tip. I'll follow that wire when I get it back from my buddy's shop and see where it goes.

And you guessed it...I flew 130s out of Dobbins from early '07 to late '10.
