Got my hands on a 1967 F100

I've been looking for a bump for a while, but I could never find one for the right price.... Until now. I just happened upon this thing while talking with one of my longtime customers. It was his highschool truck, and he was tired of watching it rot, so the obvious solution was to pass it on to someone who would get 'er going again (me). The price was pretty steep ($200) but I ended up with it anyway.

The warranty tag says it was built in October of 1966 in the Dallas plant.
The original 352 has been replaced with a 460 from a '73 lincoln.. I have mixed feelings about that.. Only real rust beside a few holes in the bed from the 6" of leaf litter is above the back window on the passenger side interior, and the floors from bags of fertilizer..... The floors are pretty bad..
I'm pretty familiar with dentsides already, as I daily drive one I resurrected myself.
I'm hoping most of that knowledge will carry over to this thing.
The motor isn't stuck, so hopefully it will run halfway decently for me, and only leak a lot of oil from everywhere.

Nice find and great price. The oil will rinse the old 460 off nicely and keep it from rusting too! Think of it as a water barrier.

Nice! I love these old trucks so it's great to see one get a second lease on life. Looks like the T-Bird is painted a matching color.

Welcome to the world (and Kingdom) of the Bump!

Already knowing Dents will help you tons. Good donors for upgrading Bumps with disc brakes, P/S,tilt column, etc. I'm in the wings watchin' your progress.

Yeah, I thought it was kinda funny how it matched my thunderbird. I've still got to put the motor back in that thing...... But, this is the Ford Truck Enthusiast forum, not the Ford Thunderbird Enthusiast forum, so no one here is interested in that old thing anyway

I'm about ~50 miles or so southwest of the DFW metroplex.

I hooked a battery up to it today, got nothing, no lights no horn no nothing.
I guess I have my starting point now.
I jumped to the starter, and it seems to be toast so I'll need to order one of those before I go much farther.

Got my one '67 I've ever hand off a small dealers lot in 1992 for $800. Except for a lifter click it needed nothing. Drove it from Arkansas to Arizona that summer, then from Arkansas to Pennsylvania the next year and many shorter trips in between. The 352 seemed bulletproof. Only things that went bad (outside of routine maintenance) was the master cylinder, a rear axle bearing and a headlight dimmer switch (at night--eek, no lights) At the time I didn't know that there were a lot of one year only parts on it but then it was never a restoration project, didn't need it.
