Drag link came in yesterday. Nice piece(especially for the price.) Bolted up perfectly.
Trouble is: At full lock to the left the drag link tie rod seems to be hitting the track bar bracket on the frame. Leads me to believe that my salvaged steering gearbox/pitman arm combo might be for a different truck?
Can anyone verify that there are 2 different style pitman arms for the Excursion?
I have the arm shown in the photo.
I also found another type of arm on Ebay.
Are these two different or am I missing something here?
Thanks all!

Figured out my issue. Nothing was rubbing, just didnt have my steering gear centered properly. Put some Mercon V into the steering system and fired her up. Purrs like a kitten...
Also put the new rubber on. Still need to clean/polish up the center caps and put the hubs back on. Gotta find a grille emblem for it too...

Haha, thats what Meatloaf said too! Thanks for the kind words.
LOL, yeah my mom loves her Honda. It would be nice to have an all Ford fam, but between my Mustang, the new Excursion and my dads E-250 I think we're pretty good. The Fit does kinds look like the Excursion $hat it out though ha!
Thanks man, I'll be sure to keep this thread going.
Thank you, that would be amazing!!! PM sent.

Update time!
Got a lot more stuff done to the Ex. Most of it was cleaning but nonetheless it was progress. Took care of some little stuff like figuring out the keyless entry code by looking through the cup holder opening to find out the default code.
Took apart the interior somewhat to clean/vacuum it. Used lots of Lexol to bring the seats back to a presentable state. Shampoo'd and cleaned the carpets too.
Took apart the lie-o-meter and did my best to re-solder the weak resistors with my big *** soldering iron, hopefully they hold up.
One negative part of this excursion through the interior of my Excursion is that i've found a rust hole in the left rear of the truck, right next to the plug for the body mount. Looks like I'll be making a patch panel for that at some point. Not the best news, but it is what it is.
Also took the truck for a shakedown, drives like a dream but needs an alignment badly. The V10 has got some power though, I am impressed.
Pics:
Started with the dirty drivers seat:
Then moved to the back with my brushes, sprayers and vacuum cleaner:
Pass. seat being worked on, you can see my tools in the photo:
Lexol and brushes doing their work in this 50/50 shot:
Pass seat 99% done. Shame about the cracking but it is what it is:
Moved to the back where I discovered the rust:
Closeup, Fred Flintstone status:
Pass. side looks fine only a bit of surface rust there:
Rear cargo area all done(no before pic sorry):
Threw a bucket of water over the truck, the dirty exterior was getting on my nerves.
My obsessiveness took over, 15 minutes per side to polish up the center caps:
Parking lot of AutoZone to pick up more Lexol leather cleaner.
That's all for this Sunday, I'm tired...

Well today was probably one of the best days of my life to be honest. It amazes me that there are people in the world who choose to pay it forward like this.
HUGE thank you to Matt(JuanHuevos) who sent me a Ford Emblem for the grille.
As per his request I snapped photos of his amazingly wrapped care package as well as the new Emblem strapped to the front of the Excursion.
Photo as requested
Mounted on the truck:

Hey I'm glad to see it made it safely! I'm happy it was the right one, it looks great! It really completes the front end of our trucks. I know I had mentioned the nuts for the attaching posts but I seem to have misplaced those. Sorry! Looks like it didn't stop you though! Enjoy brother!

It sure is man. I'm blown away.
Read through this thread, pretty damn awesome.
Thank you again Matt, I really really appreciate the kind gesture. I had a set of those little 10mm nuts left over from when I repainted my 96 Cobra so I was good there, it bolted on like a dream. Everytime I look at the front of my truck I'll think of the generosity and the FTE brotherhood.
