FYI to everyone this very issue has been brought up on this forum before.

It's a known issue and there is no fix. It applies to trucks with dual automatic climate control and remote start. Doesn't matter which remote start (OEM, Ford Long-Range kit, Remote Access).

The only workaround is to turn the HVAC off and then back on. Slightly inconvenient, but currently there's no hardware or calibration update to fix it.

Pocket - thanks. I upvoted you, this is great. If you can turn the panel off and back on, without having to restart the truck, that is suitable for now. I wish Ford had a fix for their lousy cooled seats, though.

It's not really an issue for me, since I never remote start the truck to cool it down, except this one time as a test. My wife's previous Cadillac had the same issue, that's how I knew about turning the AC off and back on. I also tested this in my 2012 F150 and it does not have this problem which I thought was interesting.

I read a different thread about using the remote to open the windows. I've been using that feature every day, it woks great.

When winter comes i'll use the remote start to heat up the truck. I can't stand the cold, I need to find a way to convince my wife to move.

You guys don't know what cold is! Relatively common temperature for northern NH:

Personally, I like a nice cold, snowy winter. But to each, there own. And really, -11 isn't that cold; I used to live in northern MN and we saw -35F or more a few times a year.
