54 f100 freeze plugs 223
Hey guys. I'm working on a 54 f100 for a friend, he grew up with this truck. It has been parked in a field for 20 years. 223 6 cyl, 3 on the tree. I got it wired with new wiring and switched to 12v, all new fuel system, all new brake system. It's running and sounds pretty good for being stuck (not bad, but was).
My main question is there a freeze plug behind the bellhousing? The ones on the drivers side were mostly rusted through, so I'm guessing what's back there isn't much better. I read there is one in the back of the head, but unsure on the bellhousing area. I THINK there is, but want to be sure. If so I'll just pull the motor out and replace them. Hoping there are no hidden issues when all said and done, but you never know. Like I said, been sitting for 20 years in South Dakota winters..
Thanks guys.
