just bought a replacement supply fuel pump. this one has a straight arm, where as the old one had a z type bend in the actuator arm. parts guy said this was ok ? does anyone know. thanks ahead of time for any help.

If you match it up to the old fuel pump you'll find the flat spot that contacts the cam on both will be in the same area. Don't worry what shape the arm is just make sure you install it right, if you get the arm on top of the cam it will break the arm off and you'll need a new one.
