So my donor 5.8 is out. My headers seem to not have the ports for the hoses that go to the air pump...... do I need these hoses and weird plastic looking thingy and air pump connected for a smooth daily driver? Can I delete these? If so, does anyone know the belt number I would need for deleting the air pump as I am not fond of the idea of having it just mounted there for the ride......The headers have the hook up for the egr and I will run that.

No you do not need any of the Smog pump stuff. Delete all that and run a shorter belt. Plug the holes in the back of the heads. Cap off the vacuum lines.

Also, if those are the Longtube stainless steel headers off ebay and if you do not have them bolted on yet. You may want to try cause mine did not fit.

Be sure to use Anti-Seize on the EGR pipe threads.

do yourself a favor and delete the egr tube and block it off at the base of the valve and on the header.
