It looks like they now offer a pair of mirrors that have the Blind Spot indicators.

2015 Ford Expedition Power Heated Puddle Light Memory Turn Signal Blind Spot Telescoping Towing Mirror Pair at 1A Auto.com

Would you (Beachums) have been satified with the mirrors if they would've come with the blind spot option? How does the expedition look with the mirrors?

I currently have a F150 that I'm trading in that has the TT Mirrors. I recently replaced a mirror with one from the same company and I didn't notice too much of a difference in vibration vs stock. But the mirrors look like they belong on the F150, so I'm kinda curious on how they would look on the expedition.

I just checked that link. Are you sure that isn't referring to the physical blind spot mirrors and not the BLISS system? And yes, if there were some way to get the bliss system to work with these, I would have kept them.

I can't say for sure, but all three part #'s that are available for the expedition have the physical blind spot mirrors but don't call it out, except for that link. That particular part # is the most expensive mirror as well, but there's no way of knowing for sure unless you buy the mirror. I may look into it once I have my expedition.

Well I got the mirrors and just completed the installation. They do work with the BLISS system and have the warning light in the mirror. The only thing missing on these mirrors that the stock setup had is the auto dimming drivers side mirror.

Update: So the Blis works just fine in the day, but I noticed at night the light doesn't completely shut off, just dims. It's not noticeable in the day but you can see it at night. Not a huge issue, just thought I'd let everyone know. I may try to contact the company to see if they'll revise the light module, or I'll try adding a resistor to the circuit. Last option would be to try to use the light module off the stock mirrors. I don't think the aftermarket light module has enough of a load to draw the current down. I believe the truck allows a small amount of current to flow even with the light off for fault diagnostics.

Update: I put the stock indicators in the towing mirrors. Everything works as expected.

What is the reason that Ford OEM F150 telescoping trailer tow mirrors will not bolt onto the Expedition doors?

I'm interested in doing this on a MY16 Expedition EL XLT, which does not have the BLISS system, but does have Turn Signal indicators, heated glass and puddle lights, as well as memory.

The doors on these vehicles are different. The wiring on these vehicles are different. The mirror mountings are different.

Not to mention a expedition with tow mirrors would look absolutely ridiculous

I have to disagree. I hated the wimpy looking mirrors on my Expedition until I added the A1Auto mirrors, thanks to Beachums.

Thanks for your response.

It appears I will have to get a wiring schematic, and then pull off a mirror and do some probing of the leads from the truck. Some things, such as feedback to the memory position controls could be tricky, depending on how they are implemented; analog, digital, Pulse Width Modulated.

Controlling lights/indicators by switching the positive or switching the negative leads, may require relays or PLCs to trade the positive/negative control signals.
