2005 6.0 diesel problems! Imagine that!
I'm having an issue with my truck like "lunging" when I increase acceleration. I have cleaned the fuel tank, changed the fuel filters twice and it continues to be an issue. The fuel pump is working fine. But it acts as if its not getting enough or steady amount of necessary fuel. If the truck is not moving and you accelerate the engine it doesn't do it. So wtf sorry frustrated. Please any ideas?

No not yet. That's why I'm waiting suggestion. I've been reading everything I can find and talking to different diesel mechanics and I've come to realize, I want my 7.3 back. The only thing I've have found that I like about the 6.0 so far is the harder I run it the better it runs. But I don't give up and I don't get mad.

We are certainly not suggesting to take it to a diesel mechanic. We are saying that the codes are an important part of troubleshooting and you should get them read. You could buy a code reader / scan tool, OR you could have them read for free (most likely) at an auto parts store. If you don't check for codes, then we could start guessing at which parts to replace. That is generally not as cost effective as when the proper troubleshooting is done.
surging can be due to several things. The ICP is one of them, but it costs over $100. Even with codes, you will probably need an OBDII electronic gauge system to monitor engine parameters.

Buy a Scangauge2.
ScanGaugeII : Linear Logic - Home of the ScanGauge
Set up the X gauges for the pids cheezit suggested and start there. This tool will cost anywhere between $110 and $160. The setup might take an hour or so.
Other useful scanners would be Dashboss that connects to Apple products and Torque for Android. Both will require a Bluetooth adapter.
Also if you wish to use a laptop, you can download FORScan for free and buy sn ELM adapter to plug in in to your diagnostic port on the truck.
