My new truck, which I ordered equipt my way, took over 11 weeks to get to the dealer. I began to get angst about the long wait. A sold order should not take that long to make. It is a standard cab, 2 wheel drive, Broze Fire paint with the Adobe interior. It is pretty sharp looking. Hope the long wait is not a pre-curser of this trucks future.

What motor did you get?


Both the 6.2 gas or 6.7 diesel are both proving to be good motors.

 

I have 16 on order to also get exactly what I wanted and not what I didn't. My dealer advised me of a 13 week lead time of which I am 8 weeks into. I will admit it seems like a long lead time to me also but I was told and agreed to it. Ford sells a truck something like every 40 seconds of every day so there are making a bunch of them. I figure mine had to get inline. but that's a big line so I'm sure it takes awhile. I ordered from my smaller local dealer and I understand that there smaller volume adds some time compared to a mega dealer.

I was able to track my truck. It got built within three and a half weeks of the order, but then it sat for a few weeks before it got put on a train, and sat a couple more weeks until they put it on a special car carrier to go the last couple of hundred miles. It was worth it though

i like my 6.2, thou I have the CC not the RC. Those rims love to collect brake dust for what its worth.

I have not had any problems and am up over 30k at this point already. got mine in April of 15.

 

My 2015 took similar time to arrive. Ordered in mid March, on paint hold till early April, built the 14th of May and arrived at dealer on 30 June. It sat at the railhead in Hendersonville, KY for almost a month. I complained to Ford and others. They did give me a 3yr/45,000 premium service (oil, filters etc) for free.

 

Larry, sounds like we waited about the same amount of time to get our trucks. I ordered on March 22 and got it June 4 but at least you were given something for your wait, I got squat.

 

Guess I was lucky. Mine rolled off the line 6 weeks to the day, from the order date.

Just hope it is shipped in a timely manner! Would make a real nice Christmas present.
