Does F53 with V10 have a speed limiter?
This question was asked on a motor home forum (Ford F53 motorhome chassis) , but rather than people responding to the question, the original poster was ridiculed for asking the question. I found the question to be valid and I too would like to know.
Perhaps the professionals here on the Ford Forum know the answer to this question:.
On a 2001 (or any other year) F53 chassis with a V10, Does the ECM or PCM have a setting or parameter that limits vehicle speed?
If so, can this parameter be altered or removed?
Thank you

The majority of F53's will be limited at 77mph. It's never good when the OP is criticized when their question is justifiable. When we tune the RV's we up the speed limiter a bit. Do we want them going 125 mph, of course not. BUT if you spend all that time gaining momentum of getting to the top why not be rewarded carrying some of the momentum into the next grade rather than hitting your limiter.
