you are a fool.......I bought my ramps long before I bought my lift , at least 20+ years ago. I've only had my lift for 8 or so years.
I never used them in the race shop , which I did not own , we used aluminum floor jacks and jack stands, same as I used on my vette's until I bought my lift.
I haven't seen one NASCAR team at ANY level use a lift or ramps.

Having said that , they are handy for doing an oil change on my van especially since the van would hit the ceiling if I used my lift in my 3 car garage.
you add up to being ignorant

Thanks in Advance, Alice

What I conclude from this thread is that Alice is a trouble maker!

Just kidding!

Alice: Start another thread with your transmission model and symptoms and there are some really smart transmission people here who will help you decide what to do about it. The transmissions in the Ford trucks including vans are a problem when they go out and can be expensive to fix and not all shops are really that competent to fix them. So let these guys help you before you spend your money to make it more likely that you will get your money's worth.

This thread kinda spun out of control, really from good motives, your safety and the safety of others regarding ramps.

This kind of spinning out of control is unusual over here so don't let it prevent you from posting a thread on your transmission issues.

Very true however those of us longer term members tend to recognize the one or two others who seem to always be at the center of these spin outs.

Sad for them to behave like that, just as sad for us to have to witness it.

Hey Alice: I just realized that you have a '99 with a 7.3L PSD. Post your transmission thread at:

Hmmm....seems to me that the instructions about knocking off the trash talk were pretty clear. I guess it's time to remind everyone that the OP isn't here to witness bickering and name calling. If you can't help with her issue, move on, period.
