Headlight/tail light/3rd brake light upgrades?

So, with having purchased my 13 Limited I'm wanting to change a few things, namely the tail lights and third brake light. I'm not a huge fan of the chrome housing stuff and am considering changing the headlights as well. Now, normally I don't like going with aftermarket lighting as generally it doesn't fit the truck, but some of the LED stuff seems to fit the 09-14 F-150 well.

Here are the black housing version of the tails I'm looking at:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/09-14-FORD-F150-LED-STREAK-BRAKE-STOP-TAIL-LIGHTS-LAMPS-ASSEMBLY-SMOKED-LENS-SET-/311096616362?fits=Model%3AF-150&hash=item486ecda5aa&vxp=mtr
And the red smoked version:

Of course there's always the option of running the factory Raptor/FX tails and using LED bulbs in them too. Just curious to see what you guys have.

When upgrading lighting I avoid allot of aftermarket lighting. It cheapens the vehicle and screams "ricer". I try to find lighting that looks OEM but has the asthetics I want with improved vision.

Here are some LED tail lights that fit the bill. They also come smoked.

Amazon.com: Spyder Auto ALT-YD-FF15009-LED-RC Red Clear LED Tail Light: Automotive Amazon.com: Spyder Auto ALT-YD-FF15009-LED-RC Red Clear LED Tail Light: Automotive

As far as head lights I personally would either upgrade to 2013-2014 F150 projector head lights(muy expensive and D3S quirkiness) or go the cheaper route with better projector performance by doing a FXR retro on the OEM lights. You can paint the chrome on the inside of the headlight and if you don't want to mess with cutting for the FXR you could throw some Morimoto Minis in.

The Third brake light. I haven't really thought about that one. I would look for something that didn't look cheap.

Yea, that's my only problem too. A lot of the aftermarket lighting looks ricer-ish and that's what I'm trying to avoid. On my 2006 F-250 all of the aftermarket lighting was way too overdone for the body style of the truck and I just opted for 08+ tails and Harley headlights. I also want to stay away from NiteShades. I've not seen a set of lights done with them that looked good when the lights were on.

I like the ones from Recon...if I replace mine these are what I will buy.

The only thing some people said about the third brake light shown above was that the bed lights don't exactly shine as well in the bed of the truck. You also need to purchase some Cree bulbs or equivalent for the backup lights. (they do not come with the Recon tail light set.

I'm just not sure about the LED tails. To me they look a bit cheesy and don't flow with the truck too well.

As mentioned, OEM Raptor / Harley-Davidson. New below. Could hit the raptor forums with a WTB in the market section and see if anyone has take-offs in good shape

Thanks for that link, I like those Raptor tail lights more than the LED ones. I'll probably end up getting a set for my truck.

Same, the aftermarket ones just don't have the same "flow" to them. They either have too much black and just look like a black blob or they are too "busy" looking. I could just put LED bulbs in them and probably be happy.

yep i have it all . aftermarket projector headlights. led tails. led third brake cant see cause of camper shell. led retrofitted bulbs everywhere except reverse light and license plate lights. Went outside took pics to share and it seems i can't post pics. Bummer guess y'all won't get to see them. Any ways couldn't find reverse led to my liking and the license plate ones never last more than a few months then they start to flicker. wish I could show ya my headlights they have autobot logos etched into them and cast a shadow on the ground.

I swapped my 3rd brake light out for the OEM Raptor light and ran the extra wire to give myself running light function.
