yours should be incredible in comparison
Sam, I assume that your lightbar is aimed pretty much straight ahead with no downward angle as to the direction of the light beam?

Not what I would do to be honest but It's not bad. I'd be more worried about it getting stolen to easily.

I might be late to the party, but I think it would look better if it was placed right under the guard mounts that come through the air dam. Your truck, so place it where it works best for you.

I like the creative fab work but I think a cab mount is the way to go with a 50" bar. My style may not be your style though and truck mods are personal touches so there is no wrong here.

Well as luck would have it I couldn't locate my digital camera yesterday evening. I did however find it this morning........in my truck of course.

I'll get a couple of photos tonight.

I appreciate all the comments of the location and look of the light bar mount. I guess there is no right or wrong answer since it's all personal taste and preference. Heck, even as I type this I can say that I like it one moment and not the next.

What I do appreciate is your honesty,
Thank you,

OK, here are a couple of photos taken last night. Posted in the following order, truck low beam, low beam with 9 LED defused utility lights on, truck bright lights, light bar only. One thing I am noticing is that I don't see a lot of difference in the photos as to the OEM bright lights and the light bar. However, in true vision the difference is dramatic part of which is due to the white pure light that the light bar throws forward. I also can see how having the light bar angled downward does not make full use of the beams distance that would be available.

OEM low beam:

OEM High beam:

Light bar only:

I can tell from the results in these photos that I have the light bars point of aim actually lower than that of the Ford Factory setting for both the low and high beam setting.

I think the 4 pics are not in the order you listed

I think

lows
highs
lows with difusers - there is a lot of light spread in the third pic. stock lights don't do that
light bar only

You could be correct, I may have failed to flip the switch on the defused LED lights.

On review and looking at the light line height on the trees, you are indeed correct.

I think part of this is due to the bar being aimed downward rather than straight ahead. Mine is hitting the dirt just ahead of where the factory low beam does. I had it angled even lower and adjusted it up to it's current position. I may try to level it out and take another photo tonight to see what the results are.

I guess for a more dramatic effect I could wait until it is darker out, but that means staying up later....LOL

Let's see if these don't set a little more definition between OEM and Light Bar lighting.

OEM Low Beam

OEM Bright Beam

Light bar only. However it is not pointed straight ahead.

Not very far considering it is my back yard. I would guess 150 to 200 feet.
