Yes it does. Hio posted a chart recently of what all a vacuum gauge can show. I don't have the time right now to find it. Hopefully he'll chime in with it soon.

 

I haven't had time to work on it today, but I hope to get to it tomorrow. I feel like lurking this thread will save someone a headache in the future!

Sorry for the silence. I have pretty much given up on it being a simple fix at this point. I talked to the machine shop today about it and they said to just go ahead and put the truck together and get it towed down there and they'll figure it out. I'll report back when it's fixed. Thanks for all the support, guys.

 

I chased a double misfire for MONTHS and was pulling my hair out because I wasn't getting anywhere.

Finally I tore the engine out and tore it apart. Looked at EVERY SINGLE PIECE (nuts bolts and EVERYTHING)

I found 2 weak valve springs that were allowing the valves to float.

Not that this is relevant to your problem, I'm just saying I know how your feeling.

(And check your valve springs )

 

Haha. Yeah, I've never been beaten by a car like this, so I'm a bit dejected and burnt out. Luckily the engine builder will make it right.
