66 F100 Oil Pressure Sending Unit??
Hey Guys, I noticed my oil pressure gauge was always reading around 30psi, and not moving at all, its been doing this ever since i replaced a bad sender some time ago, I just hooked up a mechanical gauge up to it to verify it, and it said i was running around 50psi. All the sending units I've been getting do the same thing, and its not correct. My F100 has the dealer accessory Oil and Amp gauges, so I'm 99% sure I need a specific sending unit for my setup, any ideas??

Probably aware, just thought I would mention as a reminder: Oil sending units come in two flavors: The light indicator, commonly referred to as the 'idiot' light: Suggest check the connections at the Constant Voltage Regular and from CVR to the gauge, and of course at the sending unit.
Pic of the oil sending unit for the idiot light:

My 65's have both, idiot light and electrical oil pressure gauge, I believe both the idiot and electrical oil pressure gauges are tied into the CVR but I would not swear to it. If any of the other gauges are acting up may be an indication the CVR unit is faulty??

Applications: Myriad 1957/90's FoMoCo vehicles.
Note: 1965/66 F100/350 240/300/352 with optional oil pressure and amp gauges: There are TWO different oil sending units, one for the gauge, one for the warning (idiot) lamp.
Both of these oil senders thread into this: C5TZ-9B339-B .. Fitting-Oil Pressure Sender / Obsolete
GREEN SALES CO. in Cincinnati OH has 13 = 800-543-4959.
If the ICVR (Instrument Cluster Voltage Regulator) is defective, it affects the fuel, oil and water temperature gauges.
When the ICVR begins to fail, the needles on the gauges do the "hula" .. swing wildly back/forth on their own. When the ICVR fails, the gauges no longer work.

My oil pressure gauge pegs for some reason and I can't figure out why.

Both of these oil sending units thread into this fitting.
Pic (lower) shows the warning lamp sender that threads into the oil filter adapter.
If there are 2 oil sending units, the fitting (not shown in pic) threads into the adapter, then the 2 oil sending units thread into the two holes of the fitting.
Note that the adapter is vertical (trucks used a horizontal adapter). Pic was originally in the 1949/59 car parts catalog for 1958/59 332/352. Ford 'recycled' it, changed the captions.
